Understanding your natural colouring
Finding your season starts with three things about your natural colouring: your undertone (warm, cool, or neutral), your value (how light or deep you are), and your chroma (how clear or muted you look). Together they place you in one of twelve seasons.
Check your undertone
Look at your wrist veins in natural light. Green leans warm, blue or purple leans cool, a mix means neutral. Gold jewellery flatters warm undertones, silver flatters cool.
Assess your value
Take a black-and-white selfie to see the contrast between your hair, skin, and eyes. High contrast (very light skin, dark hair) often points to Winter or Spring. Low contrast (similar depths throughout) often points to Summer or Autumn.
Work out your chroma
Look at your eyes in natural light. Clear, bright eyes with defined colour suggest high chroma (Winter or Spring). Soft, blended eye colour suggests low chroma (Summer or Autumn).
